His website desmondisamazing.com reads "Desmond Napoles (AKA Desmond is Amazing) is a performer, drag kid, awarded LGBTQ advocate, outspoken gay youth, editorial model, public speaker, founder of his own drag house, fashion designer, muse, and icon."
This is an 11 year boy who has, from all appearances, has had either a traumatic life up to this point, or has been exposed to too much and left to make decisions on his own by parents that aren't familiar with raising children.
Most of the world is in an uproar over this particular story about a now 11 year old "transgender" boy who has made the decision that he not only wants to dress in drag, but also wants to dance in adult nightclubs where he is oogled by men and perhaps some women and paid in dollar bills like an adult nightclub dancer.
As Christians, we have to begin to ask ourselves when we will begin to make changes in even the smallest of our circles. The demise of the world's culture and the state of this generation and the next is a sin issue. It isn't anything but a sin issue. As believers, we are responsible for alot of what we see because we lack a prayer life for the things that burden the Lord. The issue of transgenderism and identity crisis in children is one that is spurred on by parents, media and even educators. The bible tells us that in the last days the heart of man (humanity) will become worse and worse. This is just the beginning. This is just a tip of the iceberg.
It has also been reported that this poor child's parents (mom) has been pardoned, excused... by CPS-Child Protective Services. We should have seen this coming as well.
Let's do our part. We win in the end. When I say "we", I mean that those who stand for the Lord God, Jesus Christ who wants to save all men, women and children and whose desire is that no one perish...that no one lives this life in desperation, in a state less than great and living their best life.
Let me leave you with this scripture....
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9
Writing this small blog was the hardest thing I've done in a minute. Although this has been happening and in the media for quite some time, and many people have asked me about it and inboxed and messaged me concerning it...because they wanted me to speak to it, I couldn't really find the words. I had the most difficult time pulling just a few words together about this child and this issue.
I ask one thing from you, the reader. Will you legitimately pray with me for this particular child? Will you legitimately add work to your faith as James instructs us to do and add the children who are in these situations to your prayer list? We are the change. I love you!
